  ভবিষ্যতের ভাবনা ভাবাই হলো জ্ঞানীর কাজ। পিঁপড়ে মৌমাছি পর্যন্ত যখন ভবিষ্যতের জন্য ব্যতিব্যস্ত তখন মানুষের কথা বলাই বাহুল্য। ফকির-সন্ন্যাসী যে ঘর-বাড়ি ছেড়ে আহার-নিদ্রা ভুলে পাহাড়-জঙ্গলে চোখ বুঁজে বসে থাকে, সেটা যদি নিতান্ত গঞ্জিকার কৃপায় না হয়, তবে বলতে হবে ভবিষ্যতের ভাবনা ভেবে। সমস্ত জীব-জন্তুর দুটো চোখ সামনে থাকবার মানে হল ভবিষ্যতের দিকে যেন নজর থাকে। অতীতের ভাবনা ভেবে লাভ নেই। পÊিতেরা ত বলে গেছেন, ‘গতস্য শোচনা নাস্তি’। আর বর্তমান সে-ত নেই বললেই চলে। এই যেটা বর্তমান সেই-এই কথা বলতে বলতে অতীত হয়ে গেল। কাজেই তরঙ্গ গোনা আর বর্তমানের চিন্তা করা, সমানই অনর্থক। ভবিষ্যৎটা হল আসল জিনিস। সেটা কখনও শেষ হয় না। তাই ভবিষ্যতের মানব কেমন হবে, সেটা একবার ভেবে দেখা উচিত । সারাংশ :  বিচক্ষণ মানুষ কেবল ভবিষ্যৎ নিয়েই ভাবিত হন। অতীত গত হয়েছে বলে গুরুত্বহীন, আর বর্তমানও এত ক্ষণস্থায়ী যে তাও গুরুত্ব পেতে পারে না। বস্তুত ভবিষ্যৎকে উজ্জ্বল করার জন্য ভবিষ্যতের কর্মপন্থা নিয়ে ভাবনা-চিন্তাই দূরদর্শিতার ল

  শিক্ষা কেউ কাউকে দিতে পারে না। সুশিক্ষিত লোকমাত্রই স্বশিক্ষিত। আজকের বাজারে বিদ্যাদাতার অভাব নেই, এমনকি এক্ষেত্রে দাতাকর্ণেরও অভাব নেই এবং আমরা আমাদের ছেলেদের তাদের দ্বারস্থ করেই নিশ্চিত থাকি এই বিশ্বাসে যে, সেখানে থেকে তারা এতটা বিদ্যার ধন লাভ করে ফিরে আসবে যার সুদে তারা বাকি জীবন আরামে কাটিয়ে দিতে পারে, কিন্তু এ বিশ্বাস নিতান্ত অমূলক। মনোরাজ্যেও দান গ্রহণসাপেক্ষ, অথচ আমরা দাতার মুখ চেয়ে গ্রহীতার কথাটা একেবারে ভুলে যাই। এ সত্য ভুলে না গেলে আমরা বুঝতুম যে, শিক্ষকের সার্থকতা শিক্ষাদান করায় নয়, ছাত্রকে তা অর্জন করতে সক্ষম করায়। শিক্ষক ছাত্রকে শিক্ষার পথ দেখিয়ে দিতে পারেন, তার কৌতূহল উদ্রেক করতে পারেন, তার বুদ্ধি-বৃত্তিকে জাগ্রত করতে পারেন, মনোরাজ্যের ঐশ্বর্যের সন্ধান দিতে পারেন, তার জ্ঞানপিপাসাকে জ্বলন্ত করতে পারেন, এর বেশি আর কিছু পারেন না। সারাংশ : সুশিক্ষিত ব্যক্তিমাত্রই স্বয়ংশিক্ষিত। অপরের নিকট থেকে শিক্ষা গ্রহণের ভাবনা মস্ত বড় ভুল। আমরা শিক্ষকের কাজ ছাত্রকে লেখাপড়ার কাজে সাহায্য করা, তার হৃদয়ে জ্ঞানের পিপাসা বৃদ্ধি করা এবং কৌতূহল সৃষ্টি করা। মানুষমাত্রই নিজে নিজের শিক্ষক। জ্ঞ...

  স্বাধীন হবার জন্য যেমন সাধনার প্রয়োজন, স্বাধীন হবার জন্য যেমন সাধনার প্রয়োজন, তেমনি স্বাধীনতা রক্ষার জন্য প্রয়োজন সত্যনিষ্ঠা ও ন্যায়পরায়ণতার। সত্যের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধাবোধহীন জাতি যতই চেষ্টা করুক, তাহাদের আবেদন নিবেদনে ফল হয় না। যে জাতির অধিকাংশ ব্যক্তি মিথ্যাচারী, সেখানে দু-চার জন সত্যনিষ্ঠকে বহু বিড়ম্বনা সহ্য করতে হয়। দুর্ভোগ পোহাতে হয়। কিন্তু মানুষ জাতি হিসেবে মাথা তুলে দাঁড়াতে হলে, সে কষ্ট সহ্য না করে উপায় নেই। সারাংশ:  কঠোর সাধনার মাধ্যমে স্বাধীনতা অর্জন করতে হয়। আবার স্বাধীনতা রক্ষার জন্যও প্রয়োজন সত্যনিষ্ঠা এবং ন্যায়পরায়নতা। যে দেশে মিথ্যাচারীর সংখ্যা বেশি সে দেশে মুষ্টিমেয় সত্যনিষ্ঠকে অনেক যন্ত্রণা এবং দুর্ভোগ পোহাতে হয়। কিন্তু জাতিকে মর্যাদাবান করে তোলার জন্য এ দুর্ভোগ সহ্য না করে উপায় নেই।
